Construction Trade & Construction Industry

In the construction industry, a wide variety of liquid, viscous, and sometimes solids-containing media must be safely transported—from concrete admixtures and release agents to resins, adhesives, and coatings. Robust technology, mobile application options, and reliable dosing are particularly important here. FLUX offers drum and container pumps, eccentric screw pumps, compressed-air diaphragm pumps, peristaltic pumps, and systems for mixing, dosing, and nearly complete emptying. Carefully selected materials and drives enable use both on construction sites and in the production of building materials and construction chemicals.

  • Mobile pumping directly from drums, IBCs, or canisters
  • Precise dosing of concrete admixtures and construction additives
  • Pumps for low-viscosity to high-viscosity media
  • Solutions for abrasive or solids-laden liquids
  • Virtually complete emptying of highly viscous products
  • Electric and air-powered models
  • ATEX-compliant solutions for flammable media and hazardous areas
  • Various materials suitable for the chemical composition

Real-World Application Case Studies

Our application reports show you how FLUX pumps are used in real-world applications.

Safely Pumping Electroplating Wastewater Out of Pump Sump Tanks

Typical Tasks in the Construction Industry

Safely emptying containers

Drum and container pumps transfer liquid construction chemicals directly from canisters, 200-liter drums, or IBCs. The materials can be transferred to mixing tanks, dosing systems, processing equipment, or smaller containers.

Dosing Additives

Flow meters and filling systems facilitate the consistent addition of liquid components. This is relevant, for example, in the production of concrete, mortar, screed, plaster, or construction chemical products.

Pumping Viscous Fluids

Progressive cavity pumps convey viscous and structure-sensitive products evenly and with minimal pulsation. Depending on viscosity, formulation, and solids content, they are suitable, for example, for resins, adhesives, sealants, and paste-like coatings.

Pumping Abrasive or Solid-Containing Media

Compressed-air diaphragm and peristaltic pumps can be used for abrasive, contaminated, or solids-containing liquids. Specific suitability must be assessed based on particle size, solids content, viscosity, and desired flow rate.

Mixing and homogenizing components

Drum and container mixers maintain the homogeneity of dispersions and suspensions or mix components prior to processing.

Emptying High-Viscosity Products Nearly Completely

Drum emptying systems minimize product residue in paste-like and highly viscous media. This reduces material loss and facilitates container changes.
