Overview

FLUX drive motors are part of a modular system: Depending on the application, various pumps from the 300, 400, and VISCOPOWER series can be combined with different motors. A pump’s flow rate depends, among other factors, on the power output of the selected motor.

Five motor types cover the entire range of requirements—from portable low-volume pumping to explosion-protected continuous operation.

Five engine types

Commutator, brushless, three-phase, compressed air, rechargeable battery

Range of Services

100 W (battery) to 2,000 W (compressed air)

Compatible Series

Continuous Industrial Operation

Three-phase motors with constant speed – F 403, F 414, DSM for VISCOPOWER.

Compressed Air Operation

FPM and F 416 Ex – no electrical connection, intrinsically safe.

FBM 4100 Cordless Motor

Our most powerful battery-powered motor for barrel pumps, MINIFLUX, and VISCOPOWER. It combines long battery life, high flow rate, and smart features such as batch filling and dry-run protection.

Function and Design of FLUX Motors

Every FLUX drum and container pump or eccentric screw pump requires a separate drive motor, which is connected to the pump shaft via a coupling. The choice of motor determines the pump’s speed, flow rate, and application range.

Five motor types are available

  1. Commutator motors offer the greatest flexibility in terms of voltage and power.
  2. Brushless motors operate without wear and are also suitable for hazardous areas.
  3. Three-phase motors deliver constant speeds for continuous industrial operation.
  4. Pneumatic motors require no electrical connection and are inherently explosion-proof.
  5. Battery-powered motors enable cordless, portable use.

Thanks to the modular design, the most cost-effective and safest drive solution can be configured for every application.

Motor Types in Detail

Selecting the right motor depends on the pump series, the application (explosion protection, food processing), and the performance requirements. The following sections explain the five motor types and compare their areas of application.
