Environment & Climate

Since 2022, FLUX has been tracking greenhouse gas emissions at its Maulbronn site. The reference year 2023 serves as the foundation for the CO₂ roadmap and the further development of climate management. Photovoltaic systems at the Maulbronn and Cologne sites support the company’s self-generated power supply.

At the Maulbronn site, we commissioned photovoltaic systems with a total installed capacity of 335 kWp in 2025. The system on the production halls has been generating electricity since May 2025; an additional system on the office building was connected to the grid at the end of October. In its first year of operation alone, approximately 185,493 MWh of solar power was generated. At the Cologne site, the photovoltaic system generates approximately 45,000 kWh of solar power per year.

Sustainability is also reflected in how energy, water, materials, and operating resources are used on a daily basis. A cleaning system that uses no hazardous substances and features a partially closed water loop supports resource-efficient operations. Investments in modern facilities, building optimizations, and transparent consumption data provide further opportunities for improvement.
