SAFETEC Pump Set

The SAFETEC pump set safely empties sealed IBCs and drums using a suction method. It is suitable for enclosed chemical containers with a permanently installed dip tube and CDS/QC couplings.

Conventional drum pumps cannot be used with these containers because they lack an opening for inserting the pump. SAFETEC therefore uses a self-priming, hermetically sealed magnetic centrifugal pump. It delivers the medium directly from the closed container via the dip tube.

All relevant components are integrated into a compact console. Depending on the model, the system detects when the container is empty, automatically stops the pump, and supports filling or dosing tasks.

At EJOT in Bad Laasphe, five SAFETEC pump sets dispense corrosive acids and alkalis from VARIBOX IBCs into the electroplating baths—hermetically sealed and fully automated.

Components

MAGSON MAS Self-Priming Centrifugal Pump

The magnetic coupling hermetically seals off the motor from the fluid. This eliminates the need for a shaft seal, reducing the risk of leaks and lowering maintenance requirements.

The pump is available in PP or ETFE, allowing the material selection to be adapted to the fluid. The pump is self-priming up to a suction lift of 5 m and operates quietly.

Empty Tank Sensor

The sensor detects air bubbles in the line. As soon as the tank is empty and air is drawn in, the sensor reports this status to the control system. The pump is shut off.

Leak sensor for the drip tray

The optional leak sensor detects media leaking into the drip pan. The pump stops, and the fault is displayed on the screen.

Flow Meter

The flow meter is included in the SAFETEC KOMFORT D model. It measures the flow rate and enables dosing or filling processes.

Acrylic glass panel

The hinged acrylic glass panel protects against splashes and accidental contact with the work area.

Variants

Consulting and Inquiries
BASIC

The BASIC model features a main switch with an integrated motor protection switch. This is used to manually turn the pump on and off.

 

STANDARD

The STANDARD model features a control panel with a main switch, an ON/OFF button, and dry-run protection. If the system detects air in the line, it automatically shuts off the pump.

COMFORT

The KOMFORT model features a touch panel, an emergency stop button, and a main switch. The display shows operating statuses such as ON/OFF, empty tank, dry run, or leak.

COMFORT D

The KOMFORT D model adds a dosing function to the touch panel. In automatic mode, various filling volumes can be saved and selected.

After starting, the pump begins running and stops automatically once the target volume is reached. If the system detects an empty container, it also shuts off and displays the status on the touch panel.
