F 425 / FP 425 – Drum Pumps for 99.98% Residual Emptying

Less than 0.05 litres remain in a 200-litre drum

The F/FP 425 drum pump leaves less than 0.05 litres of residual fluid in a 200-litre drum. This corresponds to a maximum residual volume of just 0.02%.

An integrated non-return valve can be closed before removing the pump from the container. This prevents the fluid remaining inside the pump from flowing back into the drum.

The pump allows expensive fluids to be used almost completely. For critical fluids, it also reduces drum cleaning and disposal costs.

The F/FP 425 is available in stainless steel, polypropylene and Hastelloy C. The stainless-steel and Hastelloy C versions are also suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Features

  • With backstop
  • Two control levers for easy closing of the backflow preventer
  • With a mechanical seal to seal the inner pipe
  • Inner tube with metal core for PP
  • Versions available for hazardous areas
  • Grease-lubricated shaft bearing
  • Can be combined with various motors as needed

Advantages

  • Optimal residual drainage, e.g., with less than 0.05 L remaining in a 200-liter barrel
  • No need to “top off” to completely empty the drum
  • Reduction in drum cleaning and disposal costs
  • No loss of medium when transferring the pump from one drum to the next
  • Optimal utilization of costly fluids
  • Unique to FLUX: The metal-core-reinforced inner tube in the PP version. It prevents leaks and unnecessary wear on the mechanical seal across all operating temperature ranges
  • Temporary operation against a closed valve (dispensing nozzle, ball valve, etc.) is possible up to the specified maximum operating temperature
  • Stainless steel and Hastelloy C versions suitable for use in hazardous areas

Media Examples

  • Acids
  • Alkalis
  • Fuels
  • Highly flammable substances
  • Mineral oil products
  • Solvents

Note: Specific suitability depends on the selected material, seal, and motor configuration.

Technical Specifications

The technical specifications depend on the pump model, motor, and fluid.

Characteristic Specification
Maximum flow rate 120 l/min¹
Maximum head 26 mWS²
Viscosity min. 1 mPas to max. 1,200 mPas²
Outer pipe diameter min. 41 mm³ to max. 50 mm³
Immersion depth 700, 1,000, or 1,200 mm
Outer tube material Hastelloy C, polypropylene, stainless steel
Media / Fluids Acids, alkalis, fuels, highly flammable media, mineral oil products, solvents
Seal with mechanical seal
Containers 1,000-liter IBCs, 200-liter drums

¹ The maximum flow rate is a test bench value measured with water at 20 °C at the pump’s discharge port, without accessories such as hoses, dispensing nozzles, or flow meters. The flow rate that can be achieved in practice is lower and depends on the specific application, the properties of the fluid, and the pump configuration. See technical data sheets or performance charts.

² Depends on pump model, motor, and fluid. ³ Depends on pump model.
