Safely and Mobilely Transfer Formic Acid from IBCs

In chemical production, formic acid is transferred from IBCs into small containers. Removing small quantities of acid from the IBC requires a mobile, battery-powered drum pump that operates without an electrical connection.

Solution
COMBIFLUX FP 314 with FBM-B 3100

Task

Filling formic acid from IBCs into small containers. This process is used in the pre-production of specialty chemicals for waterproofing systems and marking materials. Only small quantities are required, and these must be dispensed safely and cleanly.

Requirements
  • Accurately dispense small quantities
  • Prevent dripping
  • Operation without a power connection
Solution in Detail

The COMBIFLUX FP 314 drum pump is inserted directly into the IBC and powered by the FBM-B 3100 cordless motor. A hose with a dispensing nozzle and built-in drip stopper allows for clean, controlled dispensing of small quantities.

Result

Clean dispensing without dripping, thanks to the built-in anti-drip mechanism

Flexible use thanks to battery operation without a power connection

Efficient use with multiple containers thanks to the removable motor

No interim cleaning is required when changing media
