The Challenge

In the electroplating process, 45% sodium hydroxide solution must be safely dispensed from canisters into degreasing baths. The previous pumping solution, which used a corded pump, is problematic in this work environment.

Wired Limitation

Pumping processes are tied to electrical outlets, making it difficult to work flexibly right at the canister.

Increased Risk of Accidents

Unsecured cables in areas with outgassing media increase the risk to operators and the process.

Limited Efficiency

Various conveying tasks require multiple drives, or retrofitting can be costly.

The solution:

COMBIFLUX Pump Set with FP 314 and FBM-B 3100

The mobile COMBIFLUX pump set enables the safe transfer of 45% sodium hydroxide solution directly from canisters. The FP 314 pump tube, made of PP, ensures chemical resistance, while the FBM-B 3100 battery-powered motor enables operation independent of the power grid. This eliminates the need for electrical outlets and cumbersome cables.

Process Flow

Safe dosing of caustic soda in three steps.

1. Position the pump on the canister

The COMBIFLUX pump set is attached directly to the 60-liter canister and made ready for use.

2. Start the transfer process

The battery-powered motor drives the pump tube and delivers the caustic soda in a controlled manner into the degreasing bath.

3. Continue to use the motor flexibly

The battery-powered motor can be mounted on other pump pipes, allowing a single drive to power multiple pumping processes.
