Mixing and precisely filling cooling lubricants

Cooling lubricants are filled from an IBC into smaller containers at a rate of approximately 80 l/min. Since the medium tends to separate, it must be stirred regularly during the process.

Solution
F 426 drum pump with F 457-1 EL commutator motor

Task

Fill various cooling lubricants from an IBC into smaller containers at a flow rate of approximately 80 l/min. During the process, the medium must be mixed regularly to prevent separation and ensure consistent quality.

Requirements
  • Flow rate: approx. 80 l/min
  • Continuous mixing of the medium
  • Pumping from IBC
  • Flexible switching between processes
Solution in Detail

The F 426 drum pump conveys cooling lubricants from the IBC while simultaneously mixing inhomogeneous media. A control lever is used to switch between the mixing and conveying functions during operation, allowing both processes to be flexibly combined.

Result

Continuous mixing prevents separation during filling

Flexible switching between mixing and conveying during operation

Uniform delivery of cooling lubricants from the IBC

Combining both processes in a single system reduces the workload
