When using the FP 425 drum pump (with mechanical seal to cover inner tube, immersion length 1000 mm), less than 0.05 l of residue is left in a 200-l drum, i.e. a maximum of 0.02 %. The drum pump has a built-in backflow valve which can be closed with ease using two adjusting levers before removing the drum pump from the container. This prevents the medium in the drum pump from flowing back into an emptied drum. This enables optimum use to be made of particularly expensive media and, when working with problematic media, spares the operator additional costs for cleaning drums and disposal. The drum pump is made from stainless steel; it can therefore also be used in areas subject to explosion hazards. If necessary, the drum pump can be combined with different motors.
