Wirelessly fill, transfer, and empty liquids, and easily control flow rates

Powerful and smart cordless motor for drum pumps

Drum pumps are a practical solution for quickly and cleanly transferring fluids from drums, IBCs, canisters, and other containers. With a rated power of 420 W, the new FBM 4100 cordless motor from FLUX covers all the applications of its corded counterpart, while weighing only 2.8 kg total, including the batteries. With pumps designed for a wide variety of fluids, the motor is ideal for areas without power outlets—such as in the construction, industrial, food, and agricultural sectors—and can also withstand corrosive media in the chemical and electroplating industries.

Intelligent, patent-pending features such as dry-run protection and programmable batch filling for dispensing predefined flow rates without a flow meter expand the range of applications. Using an LCD display control, the speed can be selected in 10%-increments, and up to 6 fill volumes can be programmed and recalled as often as needed. The motor can be used with FLUX pumps of the F 400 series in various material configurations, for example, for fluids such as AdBlue, pesticide concentrates, concrete additives, edible oils, or chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, etc. For more viscous media, it can be combined with F 570 series eccentric screw pumps.

Ready for a Variety of Applications

With an optionally available adapter, the motor is compatible with pump systems from other manufacturers, expanding their range of applications. The brushless, maintenance-free, and highly efficient FBM 4100 motor achieves a flow rate of up to 84 l/min in a typical drum pump configuration. In practical use with a hose and dispensing nozzle at an 80% speed setting, a single battery charge allows for the emptying of 11 200-liter drums or 2.2 1,000-liter IBCs.

Depending on the model, the package includes, in addition to the motor, two 18V, 4Ah Einhell PXC batteries, a Twincharger, and, optionally, an adapter for connecting to drum pumps from other manufacturers. Special covers protect the batteries from splashing water and corrosive vapors. The product line also offers pre-configured sets that include a pump, a 2-meter-long delivery hose, and a dispensing nozzle. The cordless motor is available in an IP24 version with open cooling via ambient air and in a closed IP44 version with reduced power. The IP44 version operates even under harsh conditions, such as when pumping hydrochloric acid. In addition to the Core version, both models are available in a Pro version, which features a 5-pin connector for external start/stop control as well as a 24 V power supply for direct connection of peripheral devices such as level sensors or flow meters.

About FLUX

For more than 75 years, the name FLUX has been synonymous with pump technology, ensuring smooth processes even with demanding fluids. It all began in 1950 with the invention of the first electric drum pump. Today, the manufacturer offers an extensive product range that goes far beyond drum pumps. This includes, among other things, MAGSON magnetic centrifugal pumps, filters, mixers, as well as peristaltic pumps, compressed-air diaphragm pumps, submersible centrifugal pumps, and more. Production takes place exclusively in Germany, at the main facility in Maulbronn and at the branch in Cologne. In addition to excellent product quality, safety, and reliability, users appreciate the employees’ outstanding technical expertise and strong customer focus. FLUX pumps are used, for example, in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries; in mechanical and plant engineering; and in companies specializing in surface technology, wastewater treatment, and the food industry—including in the corresponding hazardous areas. FLUX-GERÄTE GMBH supplies pumps to nearly 100 countries and to approximately 70 international distribution partners.
