DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS provides emergency medical aid worldwide in crisis and war zones as well as in the aftermath of natural disasters. The international organization provides assistance quickly, efficiently, and without red tape—regardless of the affected people’s origin, religion, or political beliefs.
Doctors Without Borders’ international and national staff are deployed in approximately 70 countries. They include doctors, nurses, midwives, and logistics specialists. They treat sick and wounded people, care for malnourished children, and provide clean drinking water and latrines.
No Emergency Aid Without Donations
Humanitarian aid does not come free of charge. DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS operates without government funding so that it can help people in need independently of political interests. It is only through private donations that DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS’ emergency relief missions are made possible—thanks to supporters who think of people in need across borders.
