Kickoff Under a Blue Sky
The employee party kicked off under bright sunshine on this warm summer day. A large tent was set up in the parking lot, providing shade and seating. The parking lot was adorned with benches and tables, comfortable lounge chairs, and tables made from barrels—and, of course, decorations were also provided. A factory tour was planned for families so that partners and children could see their family members’ workplaces up close and in action. The area along the production hall was transformed into a food court. Various food trucks from the region, as well as beverage stands, provided refreshments throughout the day and into the night. Ice cream and freshly brewed coffee were also on the menu. There was plenty for the little ones to discover: various stations, including a bottling station, a spot for painting bottles, a soccer goal, and even a bounce house, kept everyone in good spirits all afternoon. The last time we celebrated on such a grand scale was for our 60th anniversary.
When the Gates Open – An Evening for Everyone
In the evening, the festival grounds were also opened to outside guests. For residents and visitors from the region, it was a great opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at FLUX. There was a lot of promotion for the festival in advance—on our website, on social media, but also right here in Maulbronn and the neighboring towns. We put up posters, handed out flyers, and displayed posters at public institutions. And even at the town entrance, it was impossible to drive by without noticing our festival poster. The goal was to sell tickets, as all proceeds from the evening—including ticket sales—go to benefit the Maulbronn Children’s Center. We were supported in this effort by sponsors from the region. Our guests of honor, however, were our employees and colleagues from our subsidiaries. Retirees and many former employees were also warmly invited to our celebration, and we were delighted to see every familiar face.
Celebrating, dancing, and making a difference
The evening kicked off with the acoustic trio Angel’s Share. After welcoming remarks by our managing partner, Mr. Hahn, and the mayor of Maulbronn, Franziska Horn and Monika Tassotti, board members of Christopherushilfe—the organization that supports the Maulbronn Children’s Center (KIZE)—also addressed the audience. They explained how important the donations are and where the funds are used. After a brief rain shower, the festival stage shone once again in the setting sun, creating a fantastic atmosphere. It was time for Elfriede’s Journey, who kept the energy high until midnight. People danced, sang along, and applauded enthusiastically. In a lively atmosphere, the staff, their families, and our guests celebrated together and raised a toast to the good cause.
Above all, the celebration was one thing: a heartfelt thank you. For their daily dedication, the many challenges we’ve overcome together, and the long-standing loyalty of so many colleagues. It was wonderful to see people of all ages celebrating, laughing, and raising their glasses together. July 19 will remain in the memories of all employees for a long time to come.
