Task
To convey finger paints from various containers, such as buckets, hobbocks, drums, or IBCs, to a processing plant. Conveyance is carried out via pipelines or hoses. The media range from viscous to pasty and are sometimes thixotropic.
Requirements
- Pumping of viscous, thixotropic paints
- Self-priming without an inlet
- Pumping from various containers
- Adequate pipe cross-section required
Solution in Detail
A self-priming FDM 25 air-operated diaphragm pump delivers the finger paints through pipe or hose systems, regardless of the container type. A sufficiently large pipe diameter ensures adequate flow rate. Optionally, a pulsation damper reduces pressure fluctuations.
Result
Pumping of viscous paints
Finger paints are often thick and thixotropic. The self-priming compressed-air diaphragm pump ensures reliable delivery even without a natural feed. Operation is flexible, either via compressed-air control or by shutting off the delivery line.
